Earlier today I posted on my Facebook page a challenge. I didn’t sleep well last night, as I tossed and turned thinking of how many people were hurt yesterday. Those families are feeling an unspeakable loss. Our country seems to have also suffered a great loss. A loss of innocence like that takes its toll on all of us.
I wanted to do something to turn that around. So I posted this challenge:
Today, in memory of those lost yesterday, I challenge you to help me restore some hope and faith in humanity. Lets make today Random Act of Kindness Day. I challenge you to spend $5 today on someone else, who isn’t expecting it. Buy the coffee of the person behind you. Or buy a $5 gift card and give it away. If you don’t have five dollars, do something nice for a neighbor, or even for a stranger. So many people are broken and hurting today–let’s make it better by each of us being the hope and light in this world. Share this challenge with your family and friends.
